Description
EVI 7Ah 12V Lead-Acid Battery
EVI 7Ah 12V Lead-Acid Battery – EVIA7-12
The EVI 7Ah 12V is a standard Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) battery, often referred to as a “SLA” (Sealed Lead-Acid) battery. This is the “workhorse” size for small to medium UPS systems, security alarms, and emergency lighting.
Since it’s a “sealed” battery, it is maintenance-free and leak-proof, meaning you can mount it in various positions without worrying about acid spills.

Common Applications
-
UPS Systems: The most common replacement battery for desktop UPS units (like 600VA–1500VA models).
-
Security & Fire Alarms: Provides backup power for control panels during outages.
-
Electric Scooters/Toys: Used in many kids’ ride-on vehicles.
-
Emergency Lighting: Powers exit signs and emergency stairwell lights.
Maintenance Tips for Longevity
-
Avoid Deep Discharge: Try not to run the battery until it is completely dead; recharging when it hits 30-50% capacity significantly extends its life.
-
Temperature Matters: Lead-acid batteries hate heat. For every $8^\circ\text{C}$ ($15^\circ\text{F}$) rise above $25^\circ\text{C}$, the battery’s life is roughly cut in half.
-
Keep it Charged: If you are storing the battery, charge it fully first. A lead-acid battery left discharged will undergo “sulfation” and may never hold a charge again.
